The Association of Private Investigators is a professional organization that represents the interests of the detectives, who work in the private sector. We conduct private investigations in the field of civil law, conducting classified investigations, surveillance of persons and objects, court evidence in divorce cases, child custody and corporate investigations.

The Association of Private Investigators can provide training and certification to its members, as well as promote ethical behavior and standards of good practice in the profession. The organization can also have the role of a lobbyist to work to improve the legislation regulating the activity of частните детективи.

In order to become a member as a private investigator, one must go through a certain training course and obtain a detective license from the relevant bodies of the detective association.

The cradle of private research activity dates back to the 19th century in England, Scotland and France, and thanks to Mr. Marinov, from 1990 also in Bulgaria. 

In ancient times, detectives were considered spies and informers, but they were not burned at the stake like witches, which was probably due to their flair and professionalism.
